Founded by internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Sydney Blu, Change the Beat is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women, LGBTQ2S+, and underrepresented artists in electronic music through education, mentorship, career opportunities, and community. Our mission is to help create a more inclusive and equitable music industry by providing emerging artists with the tools, connections, and platforms they need to grow sustainable careers. Through remix contests, workshops, live events, mentorship programs, and industry partnerships with some of the biggest labels and brands in dance music, Change the Beat is building real pathways for the next generation of electronic music creators to thrive.

CHANGE THE BEAT RETURNS TO NEW YORK CITY
Change the Beat returns to New York City on Friday, September 18 for another massive event, this time making its debut at Marquee New York.
The nonprofit organization dedicated to championing women and underrepresented artists in electronic music welcomes very special guest Tini Gessler, joining Sydney Blu, AKKI and Lefti for a night celebrating women in electronic music in New York.
Ahead of the club night, Change the Beat will host a special early-evening community activation featuring industry panels, networking, and an intimate meet & greet with Tini Gessler, bringing together artists and members of the electronic music community. Full details and special guests for the early-evening programming will be announced soon.
Following a sold-out Change the Beat event in New York last year, we’re incredibly excited to return to the city and bring the community together again for an even bigger night.
