CHANGE THE BEAT AND SLACKER 85 ARE VERY EXCITED TO LAUNCH THE REMIX CONTEST FOR THE MASSIVE "ARTICULATION" BY THE LISBONA SISTERS!

Since the start of their official music career in 2011, the Lisbona Sisters have secured releases on acclaimed labels such as Nervous, Insomniac Records, South Of Saturn, and Club Sweat. Their most recent release with Seth Troxler's Slacker 85 label, "Articulation”, hit #1 on the Beatport Dance charts and received peak-time play at venues like Space Miami and Amnesia Ibiza, radio plugs by Danny Howard and Sarah Story on BBC Radio 1, and a dedicated print feature by DJ Mag.

Slacker 85 is the label from the mind of Seth Troxler, launched in 2023 - a home for oddball esoteric & diverse sounds from a wide range of artists and genres.

DJ Minx was inspired to spin at The Music Institute in 1989, where some of Detroit’s leading dance music DJs helped to hone her skills. She spent time on radio, and was a resident of world-renowned Club Motor in Hamtramck. She has become a regular fixture at Detroit's Movement festival and at major venues around the world. in 1996, Minx founded Women on Wax, a collective of female DJs from the Metro Detroit area. She has since established her own record label called Women On Wax Recordings, which has become a platform for her own productions and an outlet for local talent. She was named one of the “20 Women Who Shaped the History of Dance Music” by Mixmag and one of the “Best house music DJs of all time” by TimeOut New York.
